Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today announced new appointments within its
senior management team both at corporate headquarters in Montvale, NJ
and in its regional offices. All appointments take effect May 1, 2013.
Tracey Matura: Regional General Manager, Central Region
Tracey Matura will become regional general manager, central region.
In her new role, Matura will report directly to Mike Slagter, senior
vice president, sales, and will be responsible for all service, sales,
marketing, operations and dealer relations for the company's central
region in Chicago, IL. Most recently, Matura held the role of general
manager for smart, overseeing the re-launch of the iconic brand in the
U.S. when MBUSA took over in July 2011.
Mark Webster: General Manager, smart
Mark Webster will assume Matura's previous post as general
manager for smart USA, overseeing the business operations for the brand
in the U.S. He will report directly to Bernie Glaser, vice president of
marketing. His most recent post was general manager, pre-owned and fleet
operations, where Webster was responsible for all pre-owned vehicles,
remarketing programs and fleet operations.
Kurt Cornell: General Manager, Fleet and Pre-Owned
Kurt Cornell will replace Webster as general manager, fleet and
pre-owned at MBUSA. In his new role, Cornell will be responsible for
volume, customer experience and profit targets by ensuring that all
activities within the pre-owned vehicles, remarketing programs and fleet
operations departments are appropriately executed. He will report
directly to Mike Slagter. Most recently, Cornell served as an area
manager for the western region.
Andrew Noye: Regional General Manager, Southern Region
Andrew Noye will assume the role of regional general manager for
the southern region. In this position, Noye will have oversight of all
service, sales, marketing, operations and dealer relations for the
company's southern region in Jacksonville, FL. He will report directly
to Mike Slagter. Previously, Noye served as an area manager for the
northeast region.
Bob Yeatman: Regional General Manager, Western Region
Bob Yeatman will assume the role of regional general manager,
western region. In this position, he will oversee all service, sales,
marketing, operations and dealer relations for the company's western
region in Irvine, CA, reporting directly to Mike Slagter. Most recently,
Yeatman served as general manager, sales operations at MBUSA.
Blair Creed: General Manager, Sales Operations
Blair Creed replaces Yeatman as general manager, sales
operations. Creed will oversee the development and implementation of all
policies, programs and activities in support of all Mercedes-Benz new
vehicle sales and objectives. He will also be responsible for sales
volume planning, which aligns MBUSA's strategic sales direction and
front-line execution. Creed will report directly to Mike Slagter. His
most recent post at MBUSA was general manager for Mercedes-Benz
Manhattan, the company-owned dealership.
Jay Schmid: General Manager, Mercedes-Benz Manhattan
Jay Schmid takes over Creed's position as general manager,
Mercedes-Benz Manhattan. In this role, he will be responsible for all
operations at the Manhattan dealership, including personnel management,
customer experience, sales, aftersales, marketing and community
relations. Schmid will report directly to Gareth Joyce, vice president,
customer services. Previously, Schmid served as general manager, central
region.
